I've been looking for someone who has the same issues as me but its never complete so I thought I would just post.
I stream drawing and video games. For some reason for a long time OBS would crash while I stream drawing (monitor capture) but never when I play games and it only happened occasionally like once every four hours and usually a restart of my computer would fix the problem.
I started using Window capture when I got Paint Tool Sai because I couldn't have my Miniplayer for itunes showing on Sai like I had it on photoshop, and I generally like that I could talk on skype or look something up without it showing on my stream. It's been working fine but a few days ago it started crashing like crazy and now it wont stay on for more than 10 minutes at a time. It even does this for games now.
I tried disabling Aero both in my computer as well as within OBS as a stream viewer said that would help and it did, but once I turned my computer off and back on, tho Aero was still disabled, the problem came back. I tried re-installing OBS, I tried using 32bit instead of 64bit but neither of these things did anything.
NOW as I am trying to fix the issue, my window capture is acting just like monitor capture and it shouldn't be, it also won't layer my miniplayer on top, even tho it should.
It's starting to get really frustrating because I have spent more time trying to get my stream to be stable, than I have drawing.
I included a screenshot to better describe what I mean by the Window capture being like a screen capture and all of the logs from yesterday as attachments (the first one displayed in the code box, which was the only attempt that worked longer than 10 minutes yesterday if I remember correctly)
