Bug Report Non-stop Crash Train + more

I've been looking for someone who has the same issues as me but its never complete so I thought I would just post.

I stream drawing and video games. For some reason for a long time OBS would crash while I stream drawing (monitor capture) but never when I play games and it only happened occasionally like once every four hours and usually a restart of my computer would fix the problem.

I started using Window capture when I got Paint Tool Sai because I couldn't have my Miniplayer for itunes showing on Sai like I had it on photoshop, and I generally like that I could talk on skype or look something up without it showing on my stream. It's been working fine but a few days ago it started crashing like crazy and now it wont stay on for more than 10 minutes at a time. It even does this for games now.

I tried disabling Aero both in my computer as well as within OBS as a stream viewer said that would help and it did, but once I turned my computer off and back on, tho Aero was still disabled, the problem came back. I tried re-installing OBS, I tried using 32bit instead of 64bit but neither of these things did anything.

NOW as I am trying to fix the issue, my window capture is acting just like monitor capture and it shouldn't be, it also won't layer my miniplayer on top, even tho it should.

It's starting to get really frustrating because I have spent more time trying to get my stream to be stable, than I have drawing.

I included a screenshot to better describe what I mean by the Window capture being like a screen capture and all of the logs from yesterday as attachments (the first one displayed in the code box, which was the only attempt that worked longer than 10 minutes yesterday if I remember correctly)

Something else is disabling Aero on your system as your windows are not Aero-enabled. Try to figure out what that is to fix the capture problem.

Regarding the crashes, can you post a crash log and dump file?

How can I get the crash log and dump files? Like where can I find them Id expect them to be in 'crashDumps' but that folder is empty.

The stream goes down, OBS freezes and I have to close it and it is not responding. Force close, windows does it's 'trying to find a solution' thing and then I can re-open it

It may be waiting to flush the network. How long have you left it waiting? You're streaming over wireless which is a likely cause of connectivity problems.

I get full bars at all times on my wireless and got a brand new router yesterday (since I thought it was possible that internet connectivity could be the problem and my router had been acting up) and im afraid I dont quite know what you mean by waiting to flush the network. What or when am I waiting? while its closing? or while its trying to re-connect?

I let it try to reconnect but sometimes it doesn't even register that the stream is down, and when I notice that i press stop and wait like 2 - 4 minutes before I try re-connecting to the stream, but it rarely re-connects and if it does it definately doesnt last long

Your router or some network software is definitely causing a problem:

18:22:05: RTMPPublisher::SocketLoop: Received FD_CLOSE, 125084 ms since last send (buffer: 142100 / 144384)

This means OBS didn't send anything for over 2 minutes, followed by Twitch closing the connection. The thing is, Twitch closes connections after only 5 seconds of no data, so the close message didn't get through for over 2 minutes which is really bad.

Also just because your signal strength is good doesn't mean your aren't suffering from channel congestion or other problems with wireless. I'd strongly recommend testing with a cable to isolate the problem.

Ok. I can't actually test with a cable unless i get a hundred foot one to go from the router to my room. I could take my computer out there for testing purposes if that will help, if you like.

So I took my computer to the router, turned my wireless off, and connected via ethernet and the stream isnt turning on whatsoever. Which is completely not what I expected. I am connected to the internet I made sure of that. According to OBS as of this moment I have been streaming for 5 minutes and Twitch has yet to load anything.

Is it possible the the issue could be a connection issue between twitch and OBS? I was thinking maybe trying to reset the path key and everything.
