Question / Help No Audio When Streaming

I am using windows 8 and my computer came with realtek audio. How would I be able to play my ingame audio so that OBS picks it up and streams it but also have the ability to hear it through headphones. I was able to get OBS to pick up the sound from the game but then I couldnt hear sound through my headphones.

Altneuj, you need to right-click your capture device in sources and choose Properties. Then under Audio, choose "Output audio to desktop."

Unfortunately I do not see this option. Under Realtek digital output properties there is no audio tab. Just options to set as default or communication default device

What capture device are you using for game video/audio? That's the one you need to modify properties on because that is what is delivering game audio.

I guess I don't have a capture device, I need an external device to capture game audio while also listening through my headphones? I was able to stream on my mac using sound flower without a external device

Altneuj, I assumed you were passing audio through your capture device/card. I'm sure you log will help Sapiens understand your setup.

Does the green volume indicator in OBS move at all while you're recording/streaming? Your setup appears to be really simple, there isn't much to mess up.
