No audio in recording unless monitoring is off

Im using OBS 32.0.1 on windows 11 at the time of writing this and I have no audio through ANY recordings when monitoring is set to (Monitor and Output).

When I started this post I thought it was just on my capture card but I decided to try another source and when I did game capture it was the same thing. It is not such a big deal for game capture cause I can just have that play through my pc but it does impact being able to use my capture card as i cant hear anything coming from my capture card.

it also appears that OBS will record the audio but when watching it back in VLC it has to be set to my output track instead of being able to isolate the tracks?

OBS will record it the assigned track if monitoring is off but when turning monitoring on it will mute it in the recording and is only available in the output track.

Monitoring acts like a mute and even does it in the final video can see the wave forms in resolve.

If any one has this issue the only fix I found was going back to OBS 31.1.2 and now everything works like it should.
