Question / Help New to Streaming. Game choppy when streaming

Hey guys. Sorry if this is the wrong place or a constantly covered topic. I am new around these parts. I recently wanted to start streaming League of Legends. I tried it a couple times with some random settings that I played around with and it wasn't too bad. But it definitely is not good either. My stream quality is great but the quality of my game itself goes from super smooth to somewhat choppy when I start streaming. I think my computer should be strong enough to stream League with no issues. Any tips on what my settings should look like? Because I literally have no idea what any of the settings mean/do.

CPU- i5 3570k 3.40 GHz
16 GB RAM
GTX 750 TI
Windows 7 Home Premium

If any other information is necessary please let me know. I am new to this and don't know if I am missing anything that you guys could help me with.

Thanks!

The best way to stream LoL is to set up 2 scenes. In the first scene, have a Window Capture of the LoL client (make sure Aero is enabled on Win 7), and in the 2nd scene, have a Game Capture of the actual LoL game. Then use the Simple Scene Switcher to automatically swap between them: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/simple-scene-switcher.29/

I generally don't recommend using 2 game captures on the same scene like that.

Thanks for your help. I'll try it out. Do you have any suggestions for what settings I should be streaming at given my hardware? Not 100% sure on it.
