Question / Help Need help with max bitrate etc.

Hey everyone,

This is the first post i ever made on this forum, i hope its in the good place here!

I just started streaming League Of Legends on Twitch, and i had some questions which i cant answer myself because i have no experience at all with OBS.

What bitrate(kb/s) and quality balance should i take?

Here is some information,hope its enough:




Laptop
Intel i5-3230M CPU @ 2.60 GHz
6,00 GB RAM
64 bits Windows 8
NVIDEA Geforce 610M

Not sure what you mean by quality balance. For the bitrate, try to stay around 2000 to 2500 kbit. That should be perfect for a stream at around 720p with 30fps. But it might be that you have to lower your resolution a bit more to get a smooth stream and gameplay working. Your hardware will limit you a bit.
So, just starting testing, and if you run into problems, show us a log file of the tests (current log):
