The last stream in that log seemed to go fine on the encoding side at least. By freezing and stuttering do you mean buffering?

im not sure what i mean to be honest, i mean when i view my own stream on twitch, either on this desktop or on a laptop, its unviewable, freezes, stutters

If you run games on your pc that could be probably too much cpu usage cost. Do you have a second screen and could check how the cpu usage is if you are ingame playing. The new games cost a lot of cpu power and most of the time its to much to handle a stream in 1080p
Maybe try out 720p 30 or 60fps even mich better for egoshoter where you moving very fast. Or try to preset your cpu just on faster or fast. And get sure that no video or stream is running wjile you streaming it cost around 20 % of your cpu power.

I suppose i could, but this PC is made from pretty much the best components you can buy, i should be having to degrade anything processing wise

I using almost the same cpu in speed. Doesnt matter. Still th best cpus cant handle a high resolution stream with that cpu preset and a game running. If you want really quality and performance reach in streaming the best and only way is to get a second streaming pc which capture your gaming pc

I see, fair enough, so whats the compromise here? stream at 720? lower preset? no ones giving me fixes to try yet!

there are a lot of people on twitch streaming on the PC they are playing on with worse processors than me? so how do they do it...

720p 60fps maybe preset your cpu on fast or faster and try to have a overview about your cpu usage on a second stream also perfect to see chat and you could do much more things with it

im actually using an ultrawide 3440x1440 and windowing the game at 1920x1080 so i have plenty of screen space for chat and other windows. You are right my CPU is clipping 100% every so often. ill try faster setting. Do most people do 720 rather than 1080 then?

Yes most people play 720p and the cpu usage shouldnt be higher tan 70% if you are streaming and playing.

Even that you play on those resolution should be cost a lit of resources still without streaming

great ive got it running smooth now at 720 60fps.

Another question, is there a way to reduce delay between my and my streamers so its in line with the chat?

There will be ever a delay from about 20 sec thats set from twitch sadly :/ there is a setting in twitch to reduce the delay a bit. But the stream could be more buffering for people. You could try. But i dont know how much lower the delay will be

fair enough so its better to just accept the 20 seconds between chat and what happens on screen? seems a bit long?
