My camera lags once i starts streaming, any fix to it please?

Hi, I've realised an issue recently with my camera, when I hook up my elgato and start streaming with the camera on, it seems to make my camera lag a lot with like frames freezing here and there? But once I take off my elgato usb from the pc, the camera seems to work perfectly fine? could anyone help me out please because it getting frustrating, if you guys see my recent stream you can see what im talking about https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1630665013 around the 1:02:00 mark you can see that little lag, but it stops and runs smooth for a couple seconds then goes to do the same thing again

Your description sounds like an overloaded PC, but it could be any number of things... ... the answer to an overloaded PC is to reduce workload (possibly by adjusting settings in OBS, OS, background processes, etc) or provide more resources
