I recently updated to Windows 11, and found that sources I have set to "Monitor and Output" are not being played through my monitoring device - in this case, my browser-based alerts.
I did a test recording and found that they were being included in the video/audio output - so they are just not getting routed through my Monitoring Device.
I was checking this because a friend of mine had the same issue with her capture device - audio being played in stream/recording output, but not through her Monitoring Device. She has also recently upgraded to Windows 11.
Is Audio Monitoring broken in Windows 11?
