I started using OBS last year for local recording, my scene was set up thus: Monitor Capture/GameCapture/Camera, Aero disabled.
So I would start the recording at the desktop, then launch the game, and have the camera feed on top.
Just in the past week I noticed that my recordings had a terrible stutter, but there have been no hardware changes.
I tried a bunch of different recording combinations yesterday (32bit, 64bit, aero on, aero off, etc) with different games, and what seems to have fixed the stutter was enabling Aero, and removing Monitor Capture.
So my question is this: did something change in OBS so that recording the desktop prior to launching a game now doesn't work, or was my working setup an anomaly?
It's driving me nuts.
Thanks
