Question / Help Microphone disabling itself

I'm having an interesting problem with the streaming software. When I select my microphone of my headset to be the recording device, it will show that a microphone is active on the window (The microphone turns from grey to red). My problem is, is that when I start streaming, the microphone disables and shows that there is no microphone selected in the settings. If anybody can shed some light on this problem, I would love them forever.

I've tried everything I can think of with no avail.

Don't have a mute key active, but regardless, a mute key shouldn't cause the settings to revert to "disable," should it? It's even when I just click away from the Audio settings, IE: If I were to set the Microphone, apply it, and switch to Video settings it reverts back to disable.

Pretty sure that's all of it. If it seems to be missing anything let me know.

Just noticed that it thinks I'm only using 4g of RAM instead of the 16 I (definitely) have in my computer...Think that could be a problem? I doubt it could be something like that but I dunno.

No, 32bit applications are limited to 4GB of RAM. That is not the issue.

However, I don't see a mic listed in that log at all, just desktop audio...

Been a while, but should I assume that something other than OBS is not working properly in my computer? My skype has no problem detecting a mic, and it's detected within Windows' sound.

Can you take a screenshot of your audio settings and list of audio devices in the mic dropdown?

Doesn't work with either the headset or the webcam. Or are you wanting audio settings as in the Windows' Audio settings?

I'm sure people have been busy and I hate to be a pest, but I'm more curious than anything as to what is wrong with the program and/or my computer. I've asked a couple people that I generally ask when I have computer issues and they say that I should probably just reload windows (It's needed it for a while, I'll be honest).

Your microphone is set to disabled in that screenshot. If possible, please give me a log where you have the mic enabled.

That's the problem I'm having. I'll enable the microphone, but as soon as I click off of the settings for that, it resets everything back to default. I can't enable the mic because the program isn't allowing me to.

I'll enable the microphone, hit apply, or if I don't hit apply I'll click save settings when I click off, but when I go back to the settings to look at the microphone that was enabled, it is then disabled.
