I have a Intel HD 3000 graphics card that supports Intel Quick Sync Video. I wrote here before, that I don't see this option after format. In response, I received the answer that my graphics card does not support it. However, when I updated OBS Studio today, I found that the QuickSync option is on, but I can't use it. My Intel i3 2312m processor supports it, according to Intel's website. https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...ocessor-3m-cache-2-10-ghz/specifications.html

When I want to record or stream I get this message:

Failed to start recording/streaming
Starting the output failed. Please check the log for details.

Note: If you're using NNVEC or AMD encoders, make sure your video drivers are up to date.

I only have one graphics card and its Intel HD 3000

For anyone else finding this in the future: If you don't see the option with intel HD 3000 igpu — the issue is with the newer versions of OBS. If you want to use QuickSync h.264 (QSV) you have to roll back to 28.12 (I tested 30.0.2 and 29.13 both did not work)
You can download old version on a project's Github releases page

I have a freshly installed win10 22h2 system with intel driver 9.17.10.4459
The difference between using "software" h.264 and "QSV" h.264 is a meaningful one:
Here is CPU load comparison between them during recording:

replace the "obs-qsv11.dll" file, from the last version that intel quicksync worked, in the last version of OBS, in the path, "C:\Program Files\obs-studio\obs-plugins\64bit\obs-qsv11.dll"

Nvm. I was able to get the obs-qsv11.dll from SourceForge.net - extracted it from the zip folder into my OBS. Currently testing if it's good. If I haven't replied after, it means we're all good.

I have the exact same configuration, win10 22h2 system with intel driver 9.17.10.4459, and I rolled back the OBS version to 28.1.2 as you said but I still didn't have the QSV option in my Video Encoder drop-down list. Can you help me?

If you're on an older version and still don't have the QSV option, update your drivers for the igpu using the intel driver assistant.

Do NOT rely on windows update or device manager to have an up to date driver database for video controller drivers.

Can you provide the link of that? I couldn't find it anywhere

I've tried that and intel driver 9.17.10.4459 is the newest version

Try an older version version such as 27 from my sig. You can just use the zip with portable mode to see if it's there. If it is, just copy the obs-qsv11.dll from that version your latest installed version.

I've tried version 27.2.4 as you said, I even tried version 25, version 19, version17, and I still don't get the qsv option.

To bad, I have a 2600k that still runs but the mobo (Z68 Chipset) doesn't support the iGPU so I can't do any testing for you.
