Low quality of output

How come the quality of my output stream is so much worse than the original? Have not done anything particular to the settings. As you can see in the image, it's blurred and dull compared to the original window.

Ok I see, so only option is to always use native/original resultion?

And question remains why colors still look washed out? Why isn't it like the original image?

To avoid rescaling, use the original resolution of the source, yes.

One cause for slightly off colors is that for increasing compression in a compressed video, the number of different colors is slightly reduced as default (color range limited). For the same reason there is also a different resolution for color than for luma (brightness): only half, so colors might look slightly different.
