Question / Help looking for the correct "display" settings

Hi i bought a new screen with 2560x1440 resolution. if i use the same numbers in obs the video looks like it is zoomed out and if i use 1920x1080 it looks i zoomed in. so wich resolution should i use?

I'm talking about what you want to output to, not what you play at.

i want to know the right resolution so that the video fills the whole screen when i watch the video, not like on the picture from the first post that a third of the screen is black

You simply need to right-click the source, position/size, fit to screen to fix that.

Although streaming at higher resolutions (like the 1440p you have with your current display) will alienate a LOT of viewers.

Recording for youtube at that resolution is fine.
