Question / Help Logitech C920 Webcam Issue

Hello , I'm very new to streaming and was trying to set up a webcam overlay for a twitch stream. I can go to Global Sources and add a video capture device. I see my webcam in the drop list and select it. At this point I don't mess with any settings and just save it. I add it to my sources and am greeted with a blank, black screen. I can add other things like video game footage or my monitor, but I cannot get my webcam footage to display. Is there something I'm missing? I've watched some youtube videos where people hook up their webcams, and I think I'm doing everything right. Any advice?

Hi, I had the same problem.
The reason for me was that Skype was using the cam and therefore it didn't let OBS use it.
Simply turn of other windows using the cam and you should be fine (if you had the same problem as me).

Two programs cannot use the same video device at once. This is a limitation of the operating system.

I have the same webcam. Foolish question, but I have to ask, have you edited your video scene to make sure it's not underneath anything/Stretched it out so it's not a little pixel?
