I've decided to tell Microsloth to shove it and I am getting Linux. Does OBS work on linux?

OBS for Linux can be compiled from https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio but it is still in a very early alpha stage, there is a ppa available for ubuntu 14.04 https://launchpad.net/~btbn/+archive/obs-studio . Github hosts the source code. The best way to download it from Github is to use a git client and check it out. I suppose if you really want to, you can download the zip from the right side of the github page.
