Greetings OBS,
Now, before I get called out or told to search the forums, I did. I've read through several different posts about people with the same issues. Upon fiddling with my settings to maybe match theirs or seeing different results, I still get a significant FPS drop when streaming league of legends.
Normally, when I play league, I get 60+ frames without it dipping below that even in team fights on medium+ settings. Recently I've been trying optimal settings for OBS and League and I drop to 20-30 FPS while streaming. Now I know a drop is normal while streaming. More stuff is going on, more resources are being used, and my computer and net are taking a toll because as I'm playing, it's all being uploaded. I get that and understand it completely. I would just like to know if anyone could shed some light as to why league seems to be the only one that tends to die down.
I encourage you to look at my other streams for other past games and they play a constant 30+ FPS with Zero dropped frames and look super amazing.
Darksiders Stream
Tomb Raider Ending Stream
Sonic Adventure DX Stream
Now those 3 and my others were achieved by using OBS' trusty Estimator Tool (Thanks SOO Much for that). And with the same settings, I can't see why League just wants to drop in FPS so dramatically.
Here are my Computer's Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth z77
RAM: 16 GB G.Skill Ripjaws 1600MHz
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K OC 4.0Ghz
GFX Card: EVGA nVidia GTX 660 Ti 3GB+
Monitors: ASUS 22" x2
Software: Open Broadcast Software
Here are my logs if that helps at all - http://pastebin.com/LiVSEY3T
I tried using the Analyzer, but all it tells me to do is enable Aero if I'm using window capture, but since it's League, I do Monitor. (Don't know how well window would work for league any who). But even still, after all that is said and done, and I put my league settings all the way to low, I still see this FPS drop while streaming. :(
Again, if you could shed some light on maybe helping me out, it would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to stream league without taking a hindrance to my game play if possible.
