Basic Laptop specs:

NVIDIA GEFORCE 745m

Intel CORE i7

Windows 8

excess GBs of memory, more than enough EDIT: I initially thought I had 67 Gigs, turns out I have close to 700.

(Let me know if you need anymore information, this is all I know)

Basically, I've just started streaming on Twitch, and decided to use this service to broadcast. Unfortunately, during SUPER basic test runs just recording a simple webpage, the stream is constantly buffering and lagging. I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong, I have all the recommended settings for Twitch and the stream, but I'm still having issues.

Any help? I don't want to sound rude to the service, but maybe a different broadcasting service would work better? I just want my stream to work lol.

Seeing the amount of duplicate and late frames I would definitely recommend to downscale your output, for example to 720p. Then you can maybe even lower your bitrate to something around 2000 to 2500 kbps, and keep an eye on the bottom of the OBS window. It should show no message on the left, no dropped frames counted and a green rectangle if everything runs smooth :)
You currently seem to run too high settings for your laptop.
