Question / Help Lag Spike While Recording

Hello!

I am pretty new to OBS and was trying this software out, however, I have encounter problems when it comes to recording with OBS.
During the recording session, the game will lag for a few seconds constantly.
I did play with the OBS settings after reading some thread and video, hoping that I could resolve the lag spike problem but nothing works.

I am a little bit frustrated, hopefully, someone could help me with my problem. Thank You.

Windows is very out of date. This build is from October 2017. There have been two major updates since then. If you do opt to do them, do them both, not just one-- the April 2018 update introduces a Game Mode feature that negatively impacts OBS, but cannot be turned off. The October 2018 update adds a toggle for it, but it still defaults to on.

You're overloading your GPU a little bit.

Thank you for the suggestions.
The recording definitely has been improved after updating my window's version.
As of why the GPU is overloading for certain games (e.g. OSU), I definitely have to look into it.
