youtube often transcodes at lower resolutions first if this is what you are asking.im recording and streaming as well
Post your logfile from when you recorded and maybe a link to your videobut when i check after the upload, i can just get to 480p and not any higher
first, turn off CBR, that will enable VBR which will raise the quality since you have 0 buffer.https://gist.github.com/1d63061386165ca5a9aa
This is the one im just done recording
If you're streaming with twitch and not partnered a bitrate of 3500 is gonna really limit your audience, it would probably be best to use a separate program to record if you computer has enough performance.I did it, I used the setting for high quality recording and here what I got
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvHMAoS43M0&feature=youtu.be
but the thing is, I would like to also stream in good quality and I want the video i retrieve from stream to have good quality when I upload them on youtube. How to do that? beside setting the bitrate to 3500, enable cbr and so on?
2500-3000 is the upper limit. TBH, just follow what your viewers say, if 3/100 are having buffering, I wouldn't worry since 97 are fine. If 15 or more are buffering, I would consider reducing by 200 bitrate until the buffering is manageableso what bitrate should i set? if i want to accommodate ppl with not so great internet

Because instead of telling you, most people will just leave.2500-3000 is the upper limit. TBH, just follow what your viewers say, if 3/100 are having buffering, I wouldn't worry since 97 are fine. I personally stream at 3500 (on the rare occasions that i do) and my few viewers dont seem to have an issue with that.
2000-2500 at 720p or 540p is where I would stick from what I've been readingso what bitrate should i set? if i want to accommodate ppl with not so great internet

No, I just dont stream often nor get much traffic when I do, like top 8 viewers. Anyway, your point, though might be true, the ones that watch me when I come online, dont have issues, irrelivent as it may be.Because instead of telling you, most people will just leave.
Like I said you should probably use two programs. This is just the nature of twitch if you're not partnered.but with that bitrate, the resulting video would be low quality, I would like to upload them to youtube or edit them later so i can put them together
