Hello all I have a quick question (hopefully):
I select the "Quick Sync" option in Encoding inside the settings of OBS but today I noticed that when i start streaming my CPU usage in Windows task manager goes up by 30%-40%.
Now I was under the impression that Quick Sync was supposed to take the load off the CPU and put it on the iGPU at the cost of minor image quality on the viewer side.
One other thing. Only in Windows 7 you need to set up the virtual monitor to use Quick Sync right?
Things I have checked:
*Latest Drivers
*iGPU is enabled in my motherboard BIOS
*Quick Sync is enabled in OBS and I don't get any errors when I try streaming.
My specs:
*Windows 10 64bit
*newest drivers for both my integrated and dedicated GPU and iGPU
*Intel Core I5 4670k W/ Intel HD 4600 graphics
*AMD R9 290
*OBS v0.654b
