Question / Help Ingame lag... What are my options?

For some reason when I stream I lag ingame. I'm not sure if it's fps lag or it's because of my internet connection. Moving the bitrate up or down does not change anything.. when I spray in my game my recoil is way too unstable and I can't control where the bullets are going as easily. My ping is fine ingame as well so I don't know what could be wrong. I was wondering if my upload speed is the problem or if it's from my cpu?

I have a i7 2600K processor... 8 gb ram... gtx 560
Internet Speed: 50 mbps down 5 mbps down
Streaming at 1024x768 and 2500 bitrate

Any help?

Is this framerate lag, or ping lag? If you have issues with in-game ping due to streaming, you can also try "minimize network impact" in broadcast settings to verify if that's the problem, it's a feature designed to reduce the effect of the stream on other applications on the computer (at the cost of segmenting the network packets into even chunks). The game's ping meter might not always accurately reflect that, so you might want to check that first.

Minimize network impact is already selected. It's not ping lag 100% because my ms is the same if I'm streaming or not. It just feels laggy not sure if it's my fps or maybe choke or loss?

Hm, I'm not -entirely- sure, but it feels like the game and OBS are fighting over GPU (which shouldn't be the case because OBS is operating at 1/5th the FPS that the game is).

Also, I just noticed you had monitor capture in there. Take that out as well, and, hm, actually try taking out all sources except for game capture to check to see if any of those are the cause as well. You could also try changing video settings (such as more downscale) just to see if maybe that might be the cause, though honestly it really shouldn't be. I'm actually making these suggestions because I don't know at all what could be causing your issue, so I'm trying to get you to see if you can see if any of these changes anything to perhaps narrow down a potential cause.

I tried everything downscaling too! I have taken out all the sources before as well and it still doesn't help.

I have another idea Jim.

I have two internet connections... one 50 mbs down 5 up and one internet connection with 20 mbps down and 2 mbps up

I also have two computers that are right next to each other on a desk. Could I possibly use one internet connection to play and the other to send the encoding to the twitch server?

You mean a 2-computer streaming setup? You could, would just need a capture card though. Avoid USB 2.0 capture devices if you decide to do that though, whatever you do.

Of course that's possible if you know how to set it up. I've never done such a thing though. Using a two-system setup requires a capture device, though.
