Image Source causes rendering lag and dropped frames when opening Properties or changing images on macOS

I'm experiencing a reproducible rendering lag issue with OBS Studio on macOS with Apple Silicon.

Hardware:
- MacBook Pro M3 Max
- 36 GB RAM

OBS versions tested:
- 32.2.1
- 31.1.2

The issue occurs with both versions.
When streaming at 1920×1080, 59.94 FPS, simply opening the Properties window of an Image Source causes a small rendering stutter. Changing the image using the Browse button causes a much more significant stutter.
The rendering FPS drops from 59.94 FPS to around 20–30 FPS for approximately 0.5 seconds, resulting in around 30 skipped frames due to rendering lag.
At 29.97 FPS, the same issue occurs: FPS drops to around 10–15 FPS and approximately 15 frames are lost.
Network and encoder dropped frames remain at 0, and CPU usage is only around 2–3%.
The issue is also reproducible in a completely new scene containing only one Color Source and one Image Source.

I have already tested:
- OBS 31.1.2 and 32.2.1
- 59.94 and 29.97 FPS
- Disabled Preview
- Reduced OBS window size
- Images stored on the internal SSD
- JPG and PNG images around 200–300 KB, 1920×255

None of these changed the behavior.
I use OBS for livestreaming dance competitions, where I frequently need to replace overlay graphics during a live broadcast, so this causes actual dropped frames in the stream.
I have already submitted a detailed bug report on GitHub, including the OBS log, screenshots, and a screen recording:

I'm posting here to see if anyone else using OBS on macOS/Apple Silicon has experienced the same issue, or if there is a known workaround.
