(I'm very new to this) How do I clip both game audio and discord audio on xbox without having to plug headset into the capture card?

Hello. I got a capture card recently and have been using it to clip funny moments of me playing with my friends for a little while now. I've seen the basic beginner guides on how to set it all up and I've seen from them that you're supposed to plug your headset into the capture card in order to do that, but due to how my setup is, I don't really wanna do that. Is there a way for me to bypass this and just have my headset plugged into my controller while I play and be able to clip discord chat (I don't use regular partys on xbox anymore since me and my friends just use discord) as well as audio coming from my xbox, like gameplay and menu navigation sounds and whatnot? I have a spare headset if that helps, cause I've seen from other guides that didn't really help that you can plug a spare headset into the capture card, but I haven't been able to configure it well.

Now, I am willing to just plug my regular headset into my capture card, which I've done before, but it was extremely loud, what setting do I got to to turn it down? I just can't seem to find it, and the most obvious places just dont seem to work.

From my experience, you can’t really bypass this cleanly on Xbox. Discord chat on console only goes to the headset, not through HDMI, so the capture card never sees it unless you route audio through it somehow.
