Okay disabled the intel graphics to have obs only see my graphics card. seems to have little effect

OKay so here is my update. Just disconnected my 2nd monitor, and kept my 1st monitor connected. It seemed to go well at first, but as I toyed around with diff bit rates it started to drop frames or chug.

Tried with Aero, and not Aero on. hm.....and I just checked that my intel motherboard graphics are still being detected in obs. interesting
Leave aero enabled for now. sometimes things look good but other times not. we cannot tell what else you are doing so please dont do extra stuff like watch your own stream while you stream. I can imagine that is what is wrong.

aside from that, please check audio format as stated above as well as set your OBS base resolution in video tab to 1366x768 as that will help as well. once you do that post another log because I definitely think you have room to push your CPU harder.

Just for note, the audio format is very important as well as a proper downscale. it can affect performance as we push your CPU a little more.

Alright. This is with everything on at 60 fps at 768p

(due note 2nd monitor is back on and re-connected)

Just as a frame of reference it was chugging really hard

do you have anything else running? even near the clock running there. can you actively monitor temperatures? are you using the stock cooler? this is really bad performance for your CPU. have you updated chipset and USB drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's website? these drivers work the best for performance and compatibility.

What is your idle temps and temps when running OBS and the game? you can use a monitor like HWinfo64 or even a dpc latency checker to find out if there is a driver on your PC that is giving issues.

are your AMD drivers up to date?

I will get you the answers shortly. what I can say off the top of my head is that temp wise it does get pretty high. Also atm I have a CPU fan right on top of my CPU to cool it off, and my cover of the side of PC is off for more air to breathe. I think I do need to upgrade my drivers. AMD drivers are up to date for sure.

Just checked my other drives for my Motherboard chipset, and USB, all up to date.
during the stream ranges from 50%-85% for the CPU.
Not sure where to look for tempature wise for HWWinfo64 but I did have it spit out a report of my PC while running the stream.

just thinking out loud here, because for a cpu cooler, I have a cpu heat sink with fan right on top of my i7 that I am using that came with it. Is it possible that the reason I can't stream higher, is that the CPU is overheating that is affecting the performance? Do I need something pretty heavy to cool keep my cpu cool? Hopefully that report tells if its that the case other then obs telling me to lower the bit rate because of high cpu usage?

Buy a new cpu fan. This is too high wondering if the pc doesnt crash till now. Normaly the pc shut down after the cpu reach 100°C

The stock heatsink/fan is more than capable when mounted properly. Unless the fan is dead or one of the push pins is broken or something you can just clean off the old thermal paste, apply some new and reseat it correctly.

If this isn't it, it might also be no airflow through the computer case.

Suggestions then for a better heat sink?
I would just buy some high quality paste and make sure that it is a clean/flat surface prior to replacing the heatsync. since you bought it from stock make sure the plastic cover over the stock thermal past is removed before the heatsink is placed on the CPU.

other thoughts. 1333MHz mix and match RAM. take out those 4GB modules an just stick with the 8GB gskill 2400MHz memory. That will give you 16 then look up the timings and set it to 2400MHz. the timings you will have to look up unless you can enable XMP in the bios but this will not work with the other RAM in there. More isn't always better.

your network card drivers (for both NICs) are out of date as well as part of your USB and chipset drivers, other ones are fine. Sound drivers are also out of date. BIOS is good but all the previous drivers mentioned, get only from your motherboard manufacturer's website as stated before. Do you have drivers for your USB2020 audio device as well? those you might be able to get from who made that device.

Oh, that would be really bad. Yeah, there's no way that cooler is on correctly, or the fan is turning at all, with that kind of temperatures at stock speeds.

I'd recommend a $30 Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO cooler if possible, too. The stock cooler is good (when applied correctly) for standard computing tasks, but streaming is quite heavy. Plus, it's good for longevity... though I'd kind of expect your CPU likely has been physically damaged by running quite that hot, especially for any extended period.
