I start streaming, and dropped frames immediately skyrocket to the point where the stream is unwatchable.

I go live, and my bitrate drops without even going up, and when it does go up, it isn't high enough. I've tried everything from rebooting my router to uninstalling and reinstalling OBS, but nothing is helping. I don't know what to do, or what the cause is. Please tell me what I can do.

Make sure your computer running cleanly and not the bottleneck itself?
make sure you are not contending for upload bandwidth on your LAN and WAN link?
Get a better Internet connection?
