Question / Help How to move 1 scene from Scene colletion to another scene collection?

I am very new to OBS Studio and I ran into this issue pretty quickly. I have a Scene Collection setup from when I first started playing around with it, and now I have imported a new Scene Collection with custom overlays, etc.... The Issue is that I wanted to copy/paste my Audio Input (my mic) from one scene collection to the new one, and it won't let me do that. I would just make a new Audio Input as it takes just a moment, BUT I spent a lot of time adding filters for my mic and tweaking them, like Noise Gate, Compressor, EQ, and more...

I'm guessing I have to add a new mic input and redo all my audio filters from scratch?? Not fun!!!

Correct.
If nothing else, you can use the Snipping Tool (Win+Shift+S) to grab snips of each filter setting page, which should expedite the process, if just writing the settings down in a Notepad window would take too long.

For a single source, it's pretty quick. Shouldn't take more than a minute.

There is currently a plug-in called Source Copy that will do exactly what everyone is describing above. I realize it was about a year ago but here you go anyway...

I believe i found a solution though it's a little advanced.
If you just want to split the scenes in one collection into two, then that's simpler.
1) Duplicate the scene Collection
2) remove the scenes from the inappropriate collections

If you want to actually copy the scenes from one collection to another it's a little more complicated.
1) Duplicate and rename the collection you would like to copy from and to (as backups, just in case)
2) remove the scenes you do not want to copy from the original collection
3) Navigate to the %AppData%\Roaming\obs-studio\basic\scenes
4) Follow this tutorial on how to merge json files of the edited collection with the collection you want those scenes to be in.
5) Import the newly merged collection into OBS.

This works perfectly for anyone coming here now! Just make sure to have none of the sources in the scene you're copying named the same as any existing sources in your destination collection otherwise the plugin WILL overwrite the sources.
