Question / Help How to fix the virtual camera function in Zoom

I've seen this in a couple places, but am hoping someone from the Dev Team can comment.
I'm trying to make OBS the video source for Zoom. What I'm trying to do - and what appears to be the current issue - is well defined and described here: https://medium.com/@dkiesow/how-to-fix-the-virtual-camera-function-in-zoom-mac-only-9872a6d9ea5
True, I could just share my desktop in Zoom and have OBS running. However I'm looking for this to appear in zoom as the webcam so I have more control over what's being displayed in the chat session.

Not currently possible in MacOS.

Zoom on MacOS does not have NDI input;
There is no virtualcam plugin for OBS on MacOS currently, although there is an effort to create one.

I am not sure why that medium post omits it, but it seems to indicate that virtualcam exists for OBS on MacOS; and it currently does not and never has. Likely the author was using ManyCam, was aware of OBS' virtualcam plugin and just assumed it was cross-platform.
