Question / Help How do i stream a plain old video file

i've been thinking about streaming some home movies for some distant family members but i'm new to streaming. How as tthe thread title sugests, do i stream a plain old video file like an avi , mp4, or mkv

by default OBS doesn't do this, but with a plugin such as: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/video-source-plugin.20/
it might work as I know that people do this. I haven't used this plugin myself but it might work for you. use that plugin's discussion page for more info and questions
