First of all, here are the specs for my two PC's:
CASTING PC
CPU: Intel i7 4770 Quad Core 3.4Ghz Processor
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz
HDD: 1TB SATA Hard Drive
MOTHERBOARD: MSI H81M-E33 uATX Motherboard
OS: Windows 8.1
GAMING PC
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6990
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB
SSD: OCZ Agility 4 SSD 128GB
MOTHERBOARD: Asus P8Z68-V PRO Intel Z68 DDR3 Motherboard
OS: Windows 8.1
I'm capturing my Gaming PC with a capture card and using OBS on my Casting PC. The problem I'm having is OBS giving me high encoding and frame drops when I use preview. I'm trying to display 720p 60fps but it's really struggling, the problem goes away when I lower the frame rate to 30. I find this really odd because in the past I have streamed 720p 60fps whilst capturing a console from the Gaming PC with no issues and with a less powerful CPU at that.
Any help would be great.
Cheers
