so when i started to record my visual boy advanced video i was making sure i did not make the FPS go down. it tried as hard as i could by nothing happened. Every thing i did made the FPS go down. I put my bit rate down as low as i could but nothing could change the fps.

if you have had this problem and know how to fix it please help me. I'm considering to ditch obs

thanks

This is only a recent issue in the OBS capture world.
I too get unreasonable FPS drops, that none I MEAN NONE of my settings will change.
The instant i game capture a game, i get 100 fps knocked off the top, never happened before, but it does now.

Stuck in the same boat here, so if you find the solution TELL ME! :D

Also: if its window captureable, window capture it.

Your GPU is majorly bottlenecking you here. The nForce series of GPUs are pretty bad and slow. That is your major cause of slowdown. You can see if downscaling by 2.00 or more will help.

GPU = Graphics Processing Unit, or graphics card. You have a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430. That is a very bad graphics card.
