Hi,

I am getting a lot of stuttering recording FSX SE on my WIn 10 rig.

Details of the log below to assist.

An i5 isn't going to be able to handle 1080p@30fps on x264 Veryfast, especially while gaming (and extra-especially while simming). Follow the guide above, it'll also get you higher quality recordings too. Then you can use Handbrake or another re-encoder to compress the high-rate video down to something suitable for archiving or storage.
Thanks for the reply, I have just updated the settings and will report back.

OK, completed a short flight in FSX SE with the following settings (see attached).

I am uploading a video on You Tube, even when watching back on my Windows 10 PC, though better, there are still huge stutters but not as many?

Post a logfile. Logfiles contain all of your settings, so the screenshots are entirely unnecessary. Plus they have information about what is actually happening on the back end.

Has anyone had a chance to review the log at all?
You might wanna try out "Nvidia nvenc" as the encoder. That should reduce the heavy load of your cpu.
I cannot read this log in this case because its to unorganised to read on my Mobile, maybe i can look into it later.

Anyone had a chance to review this log file yet, I am getting to the point if simply binning OSM and finding another solution as it just doesn't work.

I've tried settings suggested above, stutters are too much to keep the videos.

Strangely enough, while streaming to YouTube Gaming, I also recorded and that was slightly better when CBR was turned on, using 3500 kb bitrate, but still not great.

This video was filmed this weekend, it was set to capture at full 1080 but for some reason, ended up at 360 on You Tube, and still stutters!

Another strange thing, X-Plane 10 seems to record a lot better, it is 64 Bit, where as FSX Steam is still 32 Bit, not sure if this changes anything?
