Question / Help Getting black borders even after fitting to scence

Now I have a 1920x1200 monitor, and I stream in that resolution as well because I read on these forums all you have to do is right click the source and have it fit to scene, and that's what I did. But it still didn't work. I also just noticed that the video quality is only at 720p.

The black borders are being put in by YouTube because your recording aspect ratio is not 16:9. You would have to change the "Base Resolution" (Video Settings in OBS) to 1920x1080 (or something that is a ratio of 16:9).

Using fit to scene will cause the picture to display stretched/distorted though. The only real way to fix it properly is to set your game resolution & base resolution the same (maybe try to do it windowed since you have a higher resolution monitor? that way it doesn't appear distorted to you)

Please post a Log file: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/problem-make-sure-to-post-a-log-and-or-crash-dump-howto.97/

I have it set to windowed, but for some reason dota 2 doesn't have 1920x1080 available (was surprised myself) what if I maybe tried to change my monitor to be 1920x1080?

that should work, but DOTA 2 should have the option for 1920x1080, I think you just have to change the aspect ratio above it to 16:9.

youd still get the black bars that way. best bet if u cant set both to same resolution, would be stream 1920x1080 and stretch to fit, but like i said there will be distortion
