Bug Report Game capture not working

Hey I have been using OBS for at least a year now and it has been amazing but the new game The Forest has come out and I am wanting to record it but if I use game capture it just shows a black screen and I am not sure how to fix it. I have tried to record with window capture but it just lags the footage so that's out of the question. Please help me.

I also have this problem with battlefield 4 yet my friend who uses obs, his works fine.

BF4 is probably running on mantle. OBS doesn't support capturing mantle right now, so you need to set BF4 to use directx if you wish to capture.

Not sure what's going on with the forest though. For some reason it feels like it's just not fully establishing a link to the forest, which is really weird. Usually when this happens I sometimes suspect interference. I hope it's not using mantle too or something though, that would be annoying, though I haven't heard of any issues with the forest before this. Maybe I'll have to download it and check it out or something.
