For the past month or 2, when ever I've tried to use Game Capture mode it
just doesn't work at all anymore. I've ran it on admin, all I get is the sound and a black screen.

It used to work, sometimes, but now, not at all. I even tried the test build version, same thing.
So I re-downloaded the normal version, also the same thing. It wont even capture simple things like
Skype, or even web pages. Which it was able to do before. So I'm guessing it's all on OBS?

The games I have been trying to stream are..
League of Legends
Vindictus
Tera Online
Maplestory
WarFrame

For now, I have been using Software Capture instead. Which I don't like using.
People can see my desktop >.<.. Anyway, is there a fix to this issue?

I know for which uses game guard will crash, because game capture like Maplestory in your list.
And i have also a problem with recording LoL i get sometimes bug splats.

Another thing game capture is still experimental.

Well one thing to keep in mind is that some games may change their window/process name depending on if they are the active window, or minimized in the background. However the primary thing you will probably want to try is to start the game and then switch to OBS and right click on the game capture and go to properties. From there you will want to make sure that the game you are trying to capture is selected in the drop-down menu then click the OK button.

Other things that can affect game capture are hack prevention software such as Game Guard and Hack Shield that many korean-based games tend to use. Game capture will also tend to fail if you have other overlays hooking into the game, such as teamspeak/ventrillo overlays for example.

If I watch the task manager on my second screen, it does not change the process name.

Yeah, I already did that, still only a black screen.

Well, for WoW this is certainly not the case. Don't know if Steam counts as an overlay.

Can you try the latest test version? There were some fixes to Game Capture to address some games not capturing properly.

Re: Game Capture mode not working for anything anymore?

EDIT: I've just now tested a game without gameguard/hackshield.
It worked perfectly with Game Capture mode! So I suppose this issue really is on the gameguard/hackshield.
The game that I tested this on was WarFrame.

Actually yes, all the games I play usually do use GameGuard/HackShield.
I've learned to open the games 1st then start up OBS. This usually worked.
But now of course it doesn't. I also either play my games in windowed/full screen borderless.

And here is my latest streaming log.

If you wanted a log of me trying to use Game Capture I can do that too, just let me know if you needed that instead.

Yeah, those gameguard/hackshield games are always updating with new methods to try to prevent things from hooking in (like game capture). Not sure what else you can try, but occasionally I can get it to work with Dxtory when OBS game capture doesn't work.

Yeah, tried it out. Did not help. Well, next week I am getting a new hardware setup anyway. I will try if it works then.

u can select "Full windowed mode", it is the same as fullscreen and allows for screen capture

It's not an issue with selecting any settings, I set it up exactly the same way as I had it before the last update, however there is one option that isn't available anymore and that was the compatibility option on game capture, now that that's gone it doesn't work at all. The last update screwed it up, I also can't capture the full window on a window capture either, it crops some off the right and bottom without me telling it to.
