Question / Help Frame Drops

I've been recording at 1080p 60fps for a few months with OBS now with no issues (once I configured the settings that would fit my build perfectly). I recently upgraded from my CPU's stock cooler to a liquid cooler. After doing so, whenever I try to record my games (with no settings changed), I get frame drops in my games. I haven't been able to upload anything to my YouTube channel in the past couple of weeks because of this issue. I'm not sure what the problem could be. Wouldn't getting a new cooler to keep your CPU under 35 C - regardless of the stress you put on it - result in better performance? I appreciate any help I can get.

My OBS Settings (Not Studio):

File path is set to .mp4

Encoding: Using x264. CBR and CBR padding unchecked. Qual Balance = 10. Max Bitrate is 1000. Custom Buffer is checked and is at 0.

Advanced: Multithreaded optimizations is checked. PPC is usually above normal or high. Scene Buffering Time is between 400-700. Allow other modifiers on hotkeys is checked (wtf does that do, anyway?). x264 preset is ultrafast (I experience the least frame drops in game with this). Keyframe Interval = 2. Use CFR is checked. crf = 15 (Do I check the x264 custom settings box, or uncheck it to leave it greyed out?). Everything else is standard.

My RIG:

CPU: FX-6300 (3.5gHz to 4.1)

Liquid Cooling: DeepCool Gamer Storm Captain 240

GPU: MSi R9 270x

MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3

Storage: 1TB Seagate Barracude HDD.

Memory: 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X

We need a regular log file, not a crash log.
Alright. I'll upload one when I get home from work. Would you like the most recent one or the one from the first performance drop last week? I've tried messing with the settings these past few days.

Ideally you would start OBS, reproduce the problem you're having using whatever settings you're currently trying to use, and then upload that log file.

set custom buffer to 0 and x264 preset to superfast or ultrafast. more than likely ultrafast. I dont see you doing 1080@60 without that.
That's what it's on. Do the checkboxes for Use Custom Buffer Size and Custom x264 Encoder Settings need to be checked?

Okay, that's what I have, but I keep getting frame drops. I've had these same settings and I had no problem until I switched coolers (to a better one, I might add)
ok, lets be clear that the settings I gave you are local recording only settings.

I see in your log you attempt to stream at 720@60 superfast preset. I would reduce to 720@30 for your PC.

local recording you can do ultrafast preset 0 buffer profile high but your frame drops should minimize with the settings on top for streaming and below it for local recording.

Ah, I must have sent you a log of my stream (I also stream, but mainly record for YouTube).
