Font Manager (FontBase) suddenly no longer working.

I use FontBase to manage all of my fonts and haven't had issues with it so far, but a bunch of my text objects suddenly broke and absolutely will not display unless I directly install the font to my system (defeating the purpose of the manager). It's particularly frustrating because OBS still lists the fonts as available, but selecting any of them causes the text to vanish.

It looks like there haven't been any threads about font issues in more than a year, so I was curious if there was some sort of fix that's come around recently. Even a way to point OBS to a different font folder or something. Any help is appreciated.

I found a solution for this and thought I'd share it in case anyone else has a similar issue. At some point either a Windows or FontBase update changed FontBase's root folder and broke everything. I set FontBase's root folder to

%localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts

and everything started working again, including in other programs. Hope this helps any wandering troubleshooters.
