Fluid/Changing Blur Background Apps

The Composite Blur doesn't seem able to do what I need. What I need to do is have the active window shown clearly and all the other windows blurred. Then, when I change active windows, the newly selected window comes in focus and the others are blurred.

That way, when I do a tutorial, people will be able to easily follow along without having to guess, or get confused about where the work is being done. Having the mouse highlighted doesn't work, because people will be staring at the highlighted mouse instead of looking where the typing and non-mouse related work is being done. (This is for children and people with special needs.)

The simpler it is, the better.

Thank You Very Much, in advance!

It sounds like what you are trying to do probably requires multiple plugins if it can be done at all.
1. Composite blur for the actual blur
2. The move plugin to use move value filters to smoothly transition to blurring something (0-100 blur % over a span of 1 second or something)
3. The advanced scene switcher plugin to control the move value filter triggers as you switch windows (this is the one I am not sure if it is possible)

Good luck!

I did not know about the "advanced scene switcher" plugin. It is worth a shot.

The only way I know I could do this is editing with Premiere, or Resolve, but that would be dreadful.

Thank You prgmitchell!
