Question / Help Fighting BSOD

Still windows 7 professional x64. The sabrent x64 driver is what was BSODing, i found the x32 driver and this is what I have now.

I don't have OBS and yawcam open together. I close one and open the other (I know 2 programs cant use one camera). Boggles me that yawcam can access the video but OBS can't.

Related note- sometimes when i select the sabrent device, a little read box appears in top left corner, sometimes it doesn't. right clicking to fill screen doesn't change anything.
red screen usually means something is not working right with the settings or device. sometimes resolution, sometimes fps sometimes that card just doesnt work (in this case we know that isn't it).

It's not a red screen. It's just a red square like for the resizing tool. But only in that one corner. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't. The audio stream from the sabrent is working no problem.

red is red, if its a small square it might be having trouble detecting the resolution.

That's what I was thinking. Stretch to screen didn't work, and under configure properties, it says 525 lines detected.

OK, so if I remove all sources from the current project, close OBS, reopen OBS, and add the sabrent card as the first source, it will show video. If I open OBS with another project set up, remove those sources, and add the sabrent, it's still black. I have to add it as a new source as the first source in a new session.

This is what I'm getting every now and then for the sabrent capture device and even the onboard webcam as shown here.

Also shown is why I want to use this camera..may only be composite video out, but that's window screen at 37x optical zoom and manual focus. Lens is a 3-96mm F2.6 piece.

I couldn't tell you which ones specifically work and dont. I just know about that Hauppauge was only implemented in OBS MP.
OK. Well, we shall find out tomorrow.

The express card may not even work, I guess the USB 3.0 needs to be on the main buss to have full 3.0 bandwidth and support, i dont know if the smart card slot is connected like that on mine.

Hauppauge USB Live 2 (Hauppauge Cx23100 device) Came in.

It does the same thing that the sabrent card does. When i close and reopen OBS, I lose the video input but audio is still there. If i close again and reopen, video comes back. So now it's intermittent rather than all the time. Which I will take as an improvement.

I spoke too soon. Now the hauppauge won't pull up at all, even adding as the first source in a new session. Both lights are lit up like it's actively grabbing data, but screen is blank. Going to make a new thread over in the MP section.

I wonder if your Usb ports are going to sleep. Check power in windows set it to high performance
