Hi all, The Witcher 3 came out last week and i have been completely addicted to it, some of my friends asked me to stream it so i decided to instal OBS.

When i installed it i searched for an easy tutorial of the program and i came across NerdorDie, he has some easy helpfull tutorials but my problem began at the plugins, when i tried to install the plugins my OBS wouldn't work anymore, when i opened it i would only see the right half of the menu, it would then keep loading and eventually ask for it to shut down.

( plugins in question are; Video Source and Browser Source )

I installed the .NET FRAMEWORK and the latest Microsoft Visual C++ but i'm still having problems.

As for my second problem, its about the sound on my stream.
For some reason, when there is an advertisement at first, you'll still hear the sound of said advertisement during the stream even though its long gone.

At first i thought it was a loop or echo but its not ( atleast i think its not ) i tried muting my mic in OBS, not enabling a mic in OBS and muting the mic of my headset ( i'm using a Razer Megalodon )

I was watching my stream at the same moment though, but that doesnt explain it does it? Even when its not an advertisement its still there, for example, Gerald ( from the witcher 3 ) said something, and i got a FB message sound, it would keep looping untill after a time, and then it does the same thing with another sound.

I have no idea what this could be or what i did wrong :/

first, about the plugins, always reference downloads for OBS plugins from this site unless it fwds you to another from here.
more plugins work with 32bit (x86) than 64bit, so I would first make sure that you are installing the plugins in the proper folders. See here:
https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/video-source-plugin.20/

the same thing for the .NET FRAMEWORK and Microsoft Visual C++, you'll need to install the one for the bitness of your version of OBS, I just play it safe and install both.

Ah my bad, i downloaded the plugins from the OBS site,

https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/video-source-plugin.20/

https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/clr-browser-source-plugin.22/

i downloaded and installed .NET frameworks and Microsoft Visual C++ from the last link aswell, i did them for 64 bit at first, didnt work. Then i tried it for 32 bit (x86) but that didnt work either.
you download and install both is safe, but once you get to placing files, 32bit files go in the program files (x86)\OBS and 64bit files go in Program Files\OBS. the shortcut in the start menu typically points to the 32bit version of OBS.

Yeah i know that, and i placed them in their respective folder but it still happens
post your logfile:

The current log file is greyed out, is the previous one good enough?
press the record button or preview for 5 minutes and just to a test recording, then post the log.

Also your sound loop, set your own stream on mute. It is not recommended to watch your own stream on the streaming machine due to those issues along with other issues like usings more CPU to decode the stream as well.

Best use is to watch your stream in internet explorer which uses up more CPU, and mute your dang stream :P

ive uploaded and copied my log, but where can i find it?

And about the sound yeah i tried that, i muted my sound on stream, i muted my mic in OBS, i turned off my mic/aux in the settings but its still there? Or do i have to mute my stream the entire time?

you need to just close the browser with your stream and look back at your past broadcasts and see if its there.

Also, once you copied the log as instructed, you right click and paste the link to me here.

the version of OBS you are using is 64bit, it can be found in c:\program files\OBS. put your 64bit files (the dll and the folder) in the plugins folder
so i cant look at my own stream even when muted?

I didn't say that, I said to do this and see if it still echos. if it doesn't then theres your issue, if it still echos, there is another issue.

What is OBS using as your playback device? is it VAC? if so, that might be the issue, it could be misconfigured.

Code:
Playback device {0.0.0.00000000}.{1266e071-460e-4c07-b4c5-4e303050d38f}

Yeah i know where they are located, i placed them there but if i do OBS doesnt work anymore and i have to remove them.

I'll ask a friend later to check the sound. As for audio settings i'm using my speakers ( from my headset) and my microphone ( from my headset ) dont have any other available options anyway.

Can you post a screenshot of the audio tab in OBS settings?
