Question / Help Extremely annoying Video settings issues

EDIT2: Not really solved nvm, Now it doesn't run off the Game video driver, causing the monitor to show, but games are off center, as well as lots of black borders, where if on YOUR screen is off the game/window/scene captured, it will blink the cursor like crazy.

SOLVED. EDIT: It was actually a simple fix, NVIDIA Optimus was the problem. This was solved by changing the driver that ran OBS, to the Intel HD video chip, by going to the NVIDIA Control Panel and forcing it to use the Intel card. Thank you to the staff that helped me.

As the title states, I have had this video issue for a very long time, causing me to not stream/record for a while, as OBS refuses to see my monitor as 1920x1080, and sees it as 1536x864 instead. If i change to Monitor 1, and apply/save/ok it, it changes back to 1536x864. Also if I change it manually to 1920x1080, the screen is cut off and the only images that show are part of the "1536x864". Would greatly appreciate some help.

Some info:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M
Windows 8.1
1920x1080 Display monitor

Changing a scene's base resolution doesn't change the scaling of the items in the scene. Manually change your base resolution to 1920x1080 if that's what it's supposed to be, then resize your scene elements to fit.

I have changed the base to 1920x1080 as stated, and rescaled, resized it to w.e, and it still only shows the "1536x864" with the right and bottom side being black bars to compensate for the rest of the screen. This basically makes it so that if it captures a game/window, it does 1 of the following:
1. Captures the screen entirely, but is off, what I mean for this is that such as League of Legends, If on MY SCREEN my cursor is in the middle, the STREAM shows it the cursor more to the left and above.
2. Captures the screen, but only 1536x864 of what I'm seeing on 1920x1080.

In addition to posting a log file, could you tell us if you're using DPI scaling? If you're not sure then just include a screenshot of your desktop/OBS, we should be able to tell from that.

Your monitor itself is not set to 1920x1080, it's set to 1536x864. Go into your Windows display settings and make sure the resolution is correct.

No, I mean your actual monitor. Not your OBS settings, your monitor settings. Like, the resolution that Windows is set to display. Can you take a screenshot of your Windows display settings that say what your resolution is?

Try this: Right-click OBS > Properties > Compatibility tab > Check "Disable Display scaling on high DPI settings"

Yes i can, however it still cuts off the needed screen, doesnt show all the tabs at the top of google chrome, when using the window capture

Found out why, and the problem is because of NVIDIA Optimus, which after googling, I currently have no idea how to disable, as my BIOS doesn't allow. Is there anyway OBS can work around Optimus?
