Question / Help Exponential Delay w. Elgato?

Okay so I am completely aware of the rough 1400 ms delay with the elgato and webcam/mic thing, I have that figured out, however, after about an hour of streaming, the delay then becomes about 3400ms and beyond that 4400, im assuming it continues to grow even beyond 2 hours however I don't know that for sure, I know I can just go into obs and change the delay, or restart stream, however that is extremely inconvenient. Is there any way you guys have found out to fix this, or am I the only one actually having this issue, perhaps a patch to come out that applies a delay specifically for the elgato in which the delay will exponentially grow to match that of the elgato? Any help is much appreciated.

Right click your Elgato source in OBS, select "Properties", check "Use buffering" and set it to 0.

it seems like the real issue is that the webcam and mic buffering kind of reset, nothing to do with the elgato, but after a little while the delay goes back down to 0. even though it says 1400

Raise your scene buffering time in Advanced to 700, and if the problem still persists after that, check "Use Mic QPC Timestamps" also in Advanced.

Might be a USB bandwidth-related issue. Does lowering the webcam resolution seem to make any difference?

From what I've seen, the elgato delay starts 2 seconds (or so) behind and then after time it becomes 4 seconds, (according to game capture)

I have heard of this happening on occasion with certain USB 2.0 devices. I'm trying to investigate because I recently got an elgato.
