Echo while streaming but not recording.

I have a 2 pc setup with and aux running from gaming pc to streaming pc set to listen to my mic plugged into my gaming pc. When I monitor my audio or stream I get an echo/low quality audio from my mic. If I use record, the audio goes back to normal. It only makes it sound terrible when streaming or monitoring. What could cause this?
