Question / Help Echo starts about an hour after streaming

Hey everyone, so about an hour or two into streaming, all of my viewers say I start to echo. The only way I know how to fix it right now is to stop and restart my stream which is a pain, so I was wondering if anyone has a solution or any suggestions to this problem. This has happened for a couple days straight now.

My audio settings are default for desktop audio device and microphone (AT2020 USB) for my microphone audio device. I do not have my stream running in the background, and I have disabled every other device in the recording devices section for sound, so now I'm at a stand-still. Let me know!

I can't post it, I can only view it and it's really big with most of it saying:

"Audio timestamp for device 'Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920' was behind target timestamp by 20" or another number, counting down from 100 by 10s.

When I go to post it, OBS just freezes.

The file is over 500 KB which pastebin won't let me create. When I try to post it here, the page goes unresponsive. Sorry! Any other suggestions?

I can't find the OBS log files in my SSD or my HDD. There is no appdata file. Should I do a shorter stream until I come to the problem, then post it through pastebin? Or can you direct me to where the logs are stored.

Help > Open Log Folder in OBS unless you're running a really outdated version of OBS, in which case you should update.

Sorry that it took so long. I had to delete A LOT of the "logitech 920 audio timestamp is behind" because there was one of those lines for every second. Hopefully you know what to do and you can tell me. The original file for an hour or so was 1.5 MB, so I couldn't link that. Thanks!

Go in to advanced and set 'scene buffering time' to 700. That will fix that problem in the log at least, may also fix your reported problem as well.

I'll try that out. The thing is that it doesn't start immediately, only about an hour after or so, so it's really weird. If anyone else has any suggestions, I would love to hear. Thanks Jim

I set that scene buffering time to 700, but it didn't fix the problem. Do you have any other suggestions?

Ah wait, I looked at the log again. It's because you have your microphone enable both on the webcam and in your audio settings, creating two separate playbacks of your mic, with one getting minor drift over time. Disable the microphone either on the webcam or in audio settings.

Thank you for continuing to work on this with me. I have the webcam microphone disabled in the recording tab of sounds on my computer and the microphone/auxiliary audio device is set to Microphone(AT2020 USB) in OBS's settings. I can't figure out how else to disable the webcam microphone.

No no, I meant go in to the properties of the webcam source. The audio device drop-down on the right, then select disable and press OK.

I've had it like that and it still does the echo. I turned the listen slider all the way down this time though, but I'm not sure if that will make a difference and it won't fix the problem in the log.
