Echo on audio

I am using OBS for the first time and using it to record the contents of an old HD camcorder to my PC via HDMI and a video capture dongle.

Everything is working OK, except I have an echo on the audio.

Can anyone tell me what the problem may be please?

I'm guessing you have Desktop Audio and the video capture are sources, so you are duplicating the audio from the capture (ie capture audio going to desktop)
Personally, I like the cleanliness of disabling Desktop Audio and only using specific audio sources, but depends on scenario if that is possible/practical
