Question / Help Dropping Frames

Hi there

I'm having some major problems with my stream. I was originally on a 60meg connection with 5 meg upload and i used to stream in 720p fine.

I've had some major upgrades to my web and im now speedtesting at 9-10mbp/s upload to amsterdam (from north west uk) on testmy.net

Major problem is im dropping frames hard when i start my twitch stream (around 30-50%)

Tryed lowered my maxbit rate to 3k 2k and 1k and same problem persists. Tryed changing the stream to 1080p 720p and lower and same issue occurs.

Using mainly default settings on advanced (key interval at 2), tryed quick sync CFR ect and same problem every time.

Im running a Intel i7 4770k (was overclocked now unclocked it incase it was causing instability)
8 gig ram
nvidia 650ti

The game im mainly trying to stream is wow

Tryed nearly every server on twitch and same issues occur

Running out of ideas :/ Idealistically i'd like to stream in 1080p, when the stream is up i receive absolutely no lag or frame drop ingame

mhm test looks fine shouldnt be a problem at all to stream at a 2200 bitrate... consider changing your streaming servers since you got like 5 for to chose i guess for europe...

nl ones probably one of the most recommended then theres uk and uk secondary they are literally the same then we got the new one in sweden stockholm and probably the worst server to chose would be the german one in frankfurt ... since people reported really weird issues with this one

Alright, so theoretically it should be possible for me to stream 1080p at 3500 mbp/s right?

ill try more servers again and see if the problem carrys on

yes with no problem keep in mind 3500 is the recommended maximum by twitch going over might result into getting your stream disconnected or even banned if its an excessive bitrate.

but then again for the viewers and the bad flash player its suggested to not even stream at 1080p even tho it looks just better but for high motion scenes etc 1280x720@60 with lanczos filter is also really good


another thing you could do is try another streaming service which would be www.hashd.tv just as an tryout to see if you can stream with 1920x1080@30@3500 and if its possible there you are pretty much fine everything else is on twitch ends and pretty much they fault then :/ cant do much more than lower your bitrate and streamed resolution to make them happy

right now its a 100% twitch .. because world is going on i cant even watch the fucking worlds stream on low thats how bad twitch is right now so yeah you gotta try it tomorrow morning or evening
