Question / Help Disconnecting randomly while using OBS

Funny all these posts about disconnecting, it's fucking OBS.

Never had this problem either and now all of a sudden it disconnects doesn't want to work. Switch to xsplit and just fine.

im going to try xsplit to see if it works. Harold I have charter internet. I plugged directly into the modem and i still d/c. Figure it is either obs or my isp.

Same here Justin. You can look at my thread I made. I have Charter as well and was streaming a year straight no problems and now all of a sudden problems where it disconnects or lags my game.

Things I've tried:

Charter came over switch router, modem and all my lines.
Tried disabling my firewall.
Tried all different servers that were best for my connection
Tried minimizing network impact
Tried lowering bitrate to a crazy low.
Tried different streaming program = success

60 down 5 upload and I could stream at 3000 bitrate just fine and now I can't. I even drop it down to 1500 for shits and giggles and still lags my game and disconnects me. I stream on XSPLIT, no problem at all.

I tried xsplit and I still disconnect. I disconnect anywhere from 2 min-2 hrs. I did a ping test and I saw where it drops, but still dumb founded why

It's funny you say that Justin, I tried Xsplit last night had it where it dropped way low but didn't disconnect.

I called charter asking about my upload speed and I'm maxed out 5 is the highest they go and they said everything looks good.

I don't get how a year straight it works and just stops.. So frustrating.

I've had Charter for the pass year when I streamed for a year straight no problems until now, makes no sense Harold.

Also I'm not getting any packet loss between modem and router, it has to be something.

Justin you from Wisconsin by any chance? I live in Northern Wisconsin. Also, I use Windows 8 doubt that matters but ya know. Not my picture below but i let mine send 128 and received 128 no loss.

Past performance is no indication on future possibility.

It could be something recent changed OUTSIDE of the last mile portion of the connection, most likely between their distribution node and twitch.

You're probably the victim of cable company fuckery.

There was no change to that portion of the code between that version and the current.

It'll still drop.

I am from central Wisconsin Jeremy. And i contacted charter and I had 0 disconnects that they saw

Assumed you were since you had Charter as well.

Yeah, zero disconnects on this side too nothing on their end.

I even did the test above with the picture to see if I have any packet loss between my modem and router, zero packet loss.

You should try this obs version and uninstall your new one and see if it works for you. I only got to test it for two hours but it worked flawlessly for those two hours one time it dropped way down but shot right back up and was fine. So I'm not sure, but here is the link:

Go there and download the one that says:

Worth a shot, I didn't get to test it much longer due to work but if it works for you as it did for me maybe it was an update error? Or maybe it is something with Charter and nothing I can do about it since in my area doesn't offer anything else.
