Last little check before I go to bed.
I entertained the idea with the same settings but CANVAS and OUTPUT now both 1080p and went back to "Rescale" and put it to 864p and I am using less CPU still with SLOWER preset.
I need a confirmation to why I am having Less CPU using "Rescale" vs the normal VIDEO OUTOUT downscaling. Maybe because not using LANZCOS and defaulting back to Bicubic? Wanted to share this before I hit the bed.
so to conclude with what findings I got.
VIDEO TAB - Downscale
-> CANVAS -> 1080p
-> OUTPUT -> 864p
-> DOWNSCALE FILTER -> Lanzcos
OUTPUT TAB
-> X264 -> SLOWER PRESET -> High
Viewers noticed a small stutter, like I said was getting almost tapped out on CPU %
Now with the same but back to RESCALE instead of VIDEO OUTPUT downscaling
VIDEO TAB - Downscale
-> CANVAS -> 1080p
-> OUTPUT -> 1080p
-> DOWNSCALE FILTER -> Billnear (Shouldnt matter what filter if I remember right no scaling )
OUTPUT TAB
->X264 -> SLOWER PRESET -> high
Instead of hovering around 80-90, I went back to same game MORDHAU and was 70-80% at 864p SLOWER preset using CPU Rescaling. Like I stated, if I stand corrected that it Defaults to BICUBIC Downscale Filter with RESCALING CPU side instead of GPU, I thought that doing RESCALE it would double my CPU work load when I am actually not seeing it in Real time.
Tomorrow when I stream, I will use Rescaling -> 864p at SLOWER PRESET instead of Downscaling through VIDEO (GPU) side. I will let yall know and share with viewer experience.
