By the way... Those are the ones that have logs... the others just froze my computer completely and I had to hit the reset button. They generated no logs. And I have no normal logs as I couldn't make it to work yet.

Please help.

Please run a stress test like Prime95, OCCT or LinX to verify your system is stable. Random x264 crashes and freezing may indicate faulty hardware.

I do know a little about hardware and I don't think there is a problem, but I'll follow all your instructions, as I am the one asking for help here.
I'll try Prime95 and OCCT only, 'cause LinX homepage seems to be in russian or something. I don't like installing "things" on my computer. I'm going to trust you that those things won't mess with my system here.
I'll get back to you as soon as I see what those things will do and what results they can show us.

For now I thank you for the fast response and... let's see what we'll come up with ;)

R1CH isn't the type of guy to pass blame or anything -- he's just legitimately trying to figure out what the issue is. When it crashes in x264, it's very likely that it's some sort of instability most of the time. However we also updated x264 in the next build as well, so if that build of x264 really is to blame that'll be the best way to know for sure.

I'm not sure yet, but I think what I have here is a heating problem. OCCT was really forcing everything and than it suddenly froze... and I think it was just when reached 80ºC on my CPU.
Do you think that could be the problem ?

Yes, video encoding is also very CPU intensive so if your system is freezing or having instability at high temperature / CPU load, this may be the problem. You could try the test build just to see if the x264 update fixed it.

I installed a bunch of Fans an all and this time I was monitoring all the temperatures. Unfortunately the temperature is not the problem here. So we can discard that.

I will try the test build ;)

Thanks for all the help. I'll let you know the results.

Didn't you say that your CPU hit 80 degrees Celsius? The maximum temperature the CPU allows before it starts underclocking itself is 80 degrees, at 90 it would forcibly shut down to prevent damage, you shouldn't be getting anywhere near 80 to begin with.

Definitely give the test build a try, the x264 crashes seem somewhat repeatable so it might be an x264 bug.

I got similar problems with x264 but they appear completely random.

The funny thing is that is always around 8 to 10 minutes recording. Is there some setting that my computer is not liking ? The second time there I turned my anti-virus off... just to see if maybe it was acting funny on me.

Well... I don't know what else I can try. Suggestions ?

Didn't you say that your CPU hit 80 degrees Celsius? The maximum temperature the CPU allows before it starts underclocking itself is 80 degrees, at 90 it would forcibly shut down to prevent damage, you shouldn't be getting anywhere near 80 to begin with.

With OCCT... not OBS.
