Long story short have i5 4440 lags while using the slow slower fast and even ultrafast preset while playing dota 2 and
streaming at 720p 30fps, my upload is only 2.4mbs so I need the cpu to take a hit I have tested It and using the slower presets makes my streams look much more less pixelated and clear expect the fact I'm getting like 14 fps and (High Encoded error thing), any cpu suggestions would be cool. I uploaded the rest of my pc

The benefit of the slower presets isn't realy worth the effort and money it takes to support it.
It's already nearly imossible to see a difference between faster and fast, and the quality benefit gets smaller exponentialy, while the CPU requirement grows at the same rate.

I do agree but the little change makes everything like when ever I move my ingame camera It goes all pixelated and that, could you suggest me settings with this connection/pc?. The nVidia presets really don't make a difference either

Even with the maximum bandwidth twitch allows(3.5Mbit/s), there is no way to avoid some encoding artifacts.
At only ~2Mbit/s it's even more impossible. Nothing you can realy do about it.

Not 100% sure on this but I have seen dota 2 streamers with good Q streams with only 2000kbs I got this info by right clicking view playback status thing on twitch

The best bang per buck is the Intel i7 4770k or the new 4790k. That said, with your limited upload speed, you're never going to have a completely unpixelated stream.

My "suggestion" is to be independently wealthy and get one of those new 18-core server CPUs for $4000+, then wait for H.265 encoding to be available. Then you should be good to go. :P

You can always ask those good quality streamers what settings they use. Then check to see if they're lying with this: http://r-1.ch/analyze-twitch-vod.php .

Thanks for the link I got this result

His videos looks decent even though his upload is under 2mbs http://www.twitch.tv/bone7
It has little pixelation but not much

the best bang for the buck when it comes to intel would be an intel xeon e3 1230v3

this by side 1500bitrate 720p25 fps on faster preset should be possible on your i5 since dota2 is not that extremly demanding but dont go any lower result shouldnt be that bad tbh

Thanks for the reply I was looking more at the i7 unlocked processors and was going to bump one up to around 4.5ghz with a watercooler hmm but that cpu does look good I was going to future proof me a little bit, I also found out my cpy does not have hyperthreading which I thought It did -.-

yeah if you want to oc then the unlocked versions are the only one but as of right now i would wait since haswell e just go released and the new broadwell cpus should come anytime soon.

you might even consider going with haswell e and ddr4 but that would be 380$ cpu 200$ ram and ~200$ mb but thats a sexy 6 core with ht (12 threads) which you should have no problem on ocing to 4ghz

Lol that's a bit overkill imo my ddr3 8gb ram has never slowed me down :D, I'm just worried my mobo does not support these high end cpus

well you are running a haswell cpu so it shouldnt be a problem to run either a 4770k or 4790k you might need an bios update for the 4790k but still your mb should be fine.

haswell e would be a completly different socket anyway

How well do you think a 4790k can encode why playing simple games like dota csgo etc

dota2 is a simple game on the cpu even though its also a source engine game

but csgo is nowhere near easy on the cpu even though it looks like

but the 4790k should be able to handle 720p60@fast preset and csgo at a constant 120fps but thats not a gurantee

I play dota 2 at 60fps I was looking to stream It in 1920x1080 59fps and If its a game like like wow ill drop it down to 720p

well 1080p60 is just not going to happen ... the bitrate needed for fast motion games is way too high but dota2 should be no problem at all

but csgo might run into fps problems
